My fiber art has evolved from years of sewing and traditional quilting methods to a form of self expression using skills learned over a lifetime of creative exploration. Adding layers of fabrics, stitching, and baubles satisfies my desire to create a statement while continuing to explore the basics of sewing.
My career path kept me in marketing the last 17 years in a wonderful position working with programing and marketing at a local library. Retiring in 2017, I fill my days with art, gardening, travel, and as many creative things I can possibly fit into my calendar. I continue to teach workshops in stitching, basic dyeing and surface design.
In 2021 I was excited to publish my first book, #morningtea.
I find myself working with hand dyed fabrics and threads to further make my art my own. Exploring natural dyes and recycling old fabrics seems a fitting way to use resources to have a positive impact on our planet.
I create from an imagination that continues to be inspired by God’s amazing world.
