Melissa Young , Leesburg, FL - It was a lovely trip! Our guide Marco was lots of fun and really knew his history. Each day was a new adventure and coming back to the same hotel each night to talk about what we had seen and learned was a definite plus. Another plus was that we were a small group of 12 so we got to know each other and are now friends on social media. The cooking classes were such fun and I now want to continue with authentic Italian cooking at home.
Mary Purfeerst , Bonney Lake, WA - The Tuscany tour was a wonderful experience - we had 12 people in our group which was the perfect size. We could all watch out for each other. Our guide, Mario, was excellent, very attentive, and very informative.
Lin Beribak , Forest Park, IL - This tour met every expectation, from the stay in the charming town of Montecatini Termi, the hotel, the small group (12) to the tours of walled cities, cooking classes and introductions to varied Tuscan wines. The guide Marco and driver Gianmarco were both excellent.
Lorraine Shonio , Terryville, CT - Totally enjoyed the trip. Met some very nice people that added to the trip's enjoyment.
Jean Mignolet , Fort Lauderdale, FL - The paper marbling and pottery experience was what I expected. Customer service was lacking for a tour.
David Pickering , San Diego, CA - I really enjoyed the tour and Holly Brown, our tour escort. We saw and participated in so many amazing things. The tour was well organized. My only regret was the cancellation of the Milan post tour.
Rosemary Bonnevie , Fort Mill, SC - The Tuscany tour was my first Craftour and will not be my last as I have already signed up for two tours next year. Each day's excursion was well-planned with Jim West leading the way along with local tour guides in some locations. We were also given plenty of free time each day to explore on our own, have a meal and shop. For those of us finding the terrain in some areas difficult to navigate, Jim arranged for a taxi to get us from point A to point B. The extra bonus was having John Lloyd Young on the tour and Jim West as our tour manager. The highlight of the trip was our visit to the local family-owned farmhouse where we had a fun pasta-making class and a wonderful dinner and memorable performance by John Lloyd Young. Throughout the week, the hotel staff and bus driver were top notch.
Amy Anderson , Ogden, UT - The whole tour was a pleasure and a delight. The places we visited and the activities were interesting and fun.
Dana , Ogden, UT - Was probably the best tour I have ever taken. I had a really good time. It was well planned with time to explore and enjoy both the views and craft activities. I think we made some new friends and look forward to future trips. Jim West was our guide and he was a lot of fun.
Amy Penk , Dearborn Heights, MI - Everything about this trip was amazing. Our tour guide Jim West was fantastic. With him in the lead we explored and experienced the best of Tuscany. From learning about paper marbling and then creating our own masterpiece to making sure we had the best local guides, we learned about the history of this great region. Jim also provided recommendations for the best local cuisine, what to see and do, and where to buy your wine and olive oil at the best price. This was a trip of a lifetime. John Lloyd Young was the cherry on top. I've seen him in concert many times and talked to him after a show. But to be with him in Italy was a whole new experience.
Linda SooHoo , San Francisco, CA - The experience was wonderful. I had been to Tuscany before, but spending a week there and really exploring so many areas and seeing crafts done by local artisans was fantastic. That's not something you'd see on other tours. Spending time with John Lloyd Young was the highlight. He was so gracious with his time and it was amazing to share this experience with him.
Connie Moore , Madison, MS - Wonderful taste of Italy! Fast paced but also had free time.
Larry and Rose Antosz , Coventry, CT - We saw a lot of places in a short amount of time.
Julie Stine , Walnut Creek, CA - A chance to see off the beaten path creative spots throughout Tuscany with great people.
Melinda Armstrong , Monmouth, IL - This is my third Craftours trip. It did not disappoint. The accommodations and travel guides were exceptional. There was plenty to do and I could also relax if I chose too. Italy was beautiful - it far exceeded my expectations. My only question is where to go next!!! You run an A++ company, Jim West.
Blynda Barker , Canyon Lake, TX - Great trip, lots of interesting crafts to do and beautiful places to go.
Siobhan Boyle-Hill , Fayetteville, GA - It was enjoyable.
Carianne Chappell , Sedalia, MO - Such a great experience. We were able to see so many sights in a week. Holly was amazing and so kind!

William O’Connell, Winthrop, MA - "This was our first guided tour to Europe. We have made several trips to different places including Ireland, Italy, England, France, Spain, and Greece over the last 40 years. We set up our own itineraries and drove ourselves. But at this point in our lives - my wife and I are both 72 - we didn't want to go through the hassles that involved. I think we saw more on this Craftours trip and enjoyed it more, than on any of our previous self-guided trips. We are already signed up for a Japan tour with Craftours next year!"
Kathleen Martin, Dunedin, FL - "Very enjoyable and I love the small group of "new" friends and being able to unpack and enjoy without moving to a new hotel every other day."
Lauren Cory, Pasadena, CA - "This tour is wonderful for travelers who want to get their feet wet with first experiences or who have been away from travel for a few years. Wonderful re-entry!"

The hotels were first rate, the food provided by the hotels was excellent as was the service provided, the national hostess kept on top of what we were doing and going to see, and the bus drivers were amazing. Ellen did a great job choosing projects for us to do and I'll work on finishing those as soon as I finish working on my Christmas projects."
Laura Charron, Hollis, NH - "I loved every part of our trip! The price was affordable, the itinerary well thought out and coordinated, and having optional add-ons made for extra fun and needed downtime! Having Jim as a host was nothing short of incredible. Alma Lou Annab, Springfield Gardens, New York - "What I liked the most about the Tuscany Craft Tour was the opportunity to experience hands on how the traditional craft were made. We were taught by experienced artisans. In addition we saw close up such techniques as stone "mosaics" or inlay. The precision achieved using the simplest of tools, and the inspiration from the stones was absolutely mind-boggling. No word can explain the amazement of the final piece. Being able to see a sculptor in his studio with the live model and the many steps and processes before the statue becomes reality gave greater respect and insight to the work of the old masters. But it was so enjoyable to be able to DO a fresco. To do the leather cover, to squish the clay into decorative shapes was wonderful. Even seeing the unique results of the paper marbling made us realize these were things we could do at home. Most to us show you only a brief glance at historic monuments. This one took you back to the beginning and behind the scenes. Since the group was small we got to know all the individuals very well."
Michelle Yantzonika, Willamette ESD - "I just wanted to comment on my trip with Craftours. I went to Tuscany in October 2012 and I had such a fabulous time!
Tuscany has always been a place I dreamed of going someday. With Craftours, that dream became a reality! All of the cities and sights that we visited were truly amazing! The architecture, and the colors and textures of the landscape was breathtaking! The people in Tuscany were all so helpful and kind even when I messed up what little Italian I had learned for the trip. This was truly a trip that I wished had never ended, but I hope to return again to Tuscany in the near future, and continue my adventure.
Thank you, Craftours, for making this dream come true for me."
Jackie Kersh, Lakewood, CA - "This was my first trip to Europe and a great way to go. Everything was planned and arranged so that all I had to do was show up! Our daily excursions were to places that were interesting and fun. I liked that we were given a lot of free time to shop and explore on our own as well as the guided tours."
Carole Green, Kuttawa, KY - "I loved all of the locations that we visited. The small communities gave the real feel of Tuscany. The local guides were excellent - very personable, knowledgeable and humorous. The winery experiences were wonderful (even for a non-wine drinker!)."
Beverly Brown, Bloomington, IN - "Tuscany tour was everything I hoped for in seeing this beautiful area of Italy!"
Paula Von Winckelmann, Paso Robles, CA - "Great itinerary with just the right pace to enjoy the sights and have some free time."
Wayne & Jenny Harwood, California, USA - """My wife and I have traveled Craftours to Tuscany with a quilting group from Los Angeles a few years ago. I have to say, by far, this was the best vacation we have taken in the 32 years we have been married. The hotel we stayed in was exceptional, the tour guides were knowledgeable and polite, and everything that was planned and the things we did exceeded our expectations. This testimonial is written with the intent to persuade husbands to travel with their wives on these trips. Even though there is a quilting element to the tour, I never felt it was anything that got in the way of my happiness as a person who does not quilt.
We are looking forward to traveling to China next year. We have no doubt it will be another great adventure."""
Paula Morrison, - "The Tuscany tour was amazing! Italy has been on my bucket list for quite some time. I am so happy that Craftours made this trip of a lifetime exceed my wildest dreams! The magnificent itinerary, lodging, food, transportation and tour guides were beyond spectacular! Our group became one big family because we shared such amazing memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you all for such a grand time!"
Cecilia Ashcraft, Malvern, AR - "I had the time of my life! Tuscany was everything I imagined it would be. Craftours did a great job of making sure I saw all the necessities while giving me time to explore on my own as well. The accommodation were wonderful and the details were all taken care of."
Anita Houston, Midland, TX - "It was the best ’creative’ vacation I’ve ever taken!!! Hands down! The places we visited, the people who tagged along, the Art I ogled at, and the art I made with Tim Holtz were all top notch!"
Kathryn Harpold-Dunn, Benicia, CA - "It was a wonderful adventure packed full of special destinations, sites and activities. I tell my friends that this was like an antipasti platter: lots of little tastes that wet your appetite for more."
Donna Mccartney-Smith, Salem, Oregon - "I traveled to Tuscany this past October with Beth on the McCall’s Tuscany trip. It was truly the trip of a lifetime. His attention to detail made the trip run smoothly, but his personality made it fun.
I smile every time I think of my week in Tuscany. Today, I was shopping for a bottle of wine, came across one that we had tried on a vineyard tour and started grinning ear to ear.
I’m saving up for another trip, hopefully this year. As my friend and I said after our trip in October..."We work to travel!"
Barbara VanBurger, Horseheads, NY - "Traveling everywhere is the best part of life... Not only seeing interesting, historic, inspiring places but meeting with fellow tourists and the people living in the area give the creative input to learn or look at the world and design in a new way. It is wonderful to be along with others of the same interests I enjoy that so very much. Tuscany would be a wonderful addition to my travels and also the collection of fabrics in new places. Exploring fabric shops in a different part of the world whether here or abroad is always a joy."
Evelyn Zachor, Bothell, WA - "My husband and I joined the Tuscany tour to celebrate my 60th birthday. It was a trip we had been planning for some time. I saw this tour in McCalls magazine. It was the perfect answer to how we would see so many places in one trip. This trip truly gave us the flavor of Italy with the freedom to enjoy sightseeing without the fuss of doing the logistics work. It left us with a lifetime of memories and look forward to building more. Another tough decision. 🙂 where to go next... Craftours!"
Lorraine Jennings , Simpsonville, SC - Experience of a lifetime!
Dana , Ogden, UT - Was probably the best tour I have ever taken. I had a really good time. It was well planned with time to explore and enjoy both the views and craft activities. I think we made some new friends and look forward to future trips. Jim West was our guide and he was a lot of fun.
Gail Brander , Philadelphia, PA - It was a fabulous trip. Jim was so much fun, and so informative. He is the best! John Lloyd Young was outstanding.
Lauren , Malden, MA - This trip was jam packed with things to do. I was never left feeling bored. It was nice because I know that if I went without a tour I would not have done half the things we did.
Laura Radel , Springfield, VA - The tour was phenomenal. I usually seek out the good local craft stores wherever we travel, but it is often difficult to find true artisans and their work. CrafTours made it easy. They had figured out where to go and dealt with the logistics, so I could just go along for the ride and not stress.
Kage Buckley , Ave Maria, FL - It was an exciting trip with a very seasoned craftour escort. Every detail was covered and it really made the trip pleasant and exciting. We were very well informed of the day and notes ahead of time so we could plan for our free time!
Carianne Chappell , Sedalia, MO - Such a great experience. We were able to see so many sights in a week. Holly was amazing and so kind!
Sarah O'Shaughnessy , Somerville, MA - had such a great time. Holly took great care of us. Definitely an amazing trip!
Linda Fukunaga, Sequim, WA - "Great escort. Fun people. We had a great time! Downside it was just way too hot for most of us."
Jennifer Martin, Greensboro, NC - "This was my first Craftour and it was an incredible experience! I’m already looking forward to my next trip! What a great concept of combining two things I love, travel and crafts!"
Sharon Richardson-O'Connell, Winthrop, MA - "Holly, our Craftours guide was fantastic. The hotel was comfortable and welcoming. The area of Tuscany is wonderful. Lots to see and do."

Sharla Zasadny, Walker, IA - "I went on the Germany, Austria, Italy tour with Ellen March and Sulky threads. The accommodation were fabulous, the food wonderful."
Dorothy Orr, Anchorage, AK - "I enjoyed going to the places we visited and the people on the tour.
His engagement with the group and personal attention- along with his personality- made us all feel like old friends instead of strangers. I’m so thankful I got to experience Italy with my mom- it was the trip of a lifetime!"
Dan Shelton, Boone, NC - "The entire trip was wonderful. The accommodation were excellent. I thought the itinerary was thoughtfully planned out. The places we visited were just stunning. For me being a beach person, Cinque Terre stood out. But so did everything else. Having Jim as our guide really put this trip way over the top. This was our 2nd tour with Craftours and we will certainly book additional trips."
Terri Pickering, San Diego, CA - "Best trip ever!!! This was our first tour ever. I loved all the places we went, we had the freedom to go as we please or follow with the tour group. All the places were unique and fascinating! Can't wait for our next Craftour that we just booked today! :)"
David Pickering, San Diego, CA - "This was my first experience with Craftours. It was great!! I got to see new places and learn about them from our knowledgeable escort and the artisans themselves. Have already booked a second tour!!!"
Loretta Albarano, Ponte Verda Beach, FL - "Jim West was an amazing host."
Shari Hatch, San Diego, CA - "Our escort was exceptional in her attentiveness and going above and beyond to ensure we had a marvelous experience"
Kathleen Maldonado, Alto, NM - "This was a really good trip. Our escort, Kate, was very knowledgeable about the area. I am looking forward to my trip to Scotland."
Carol Dunn, Salem, WI - "One of the best tours ever! Thanks to Agnes Warren. She is amazing!"
Clif Brewer, Jacksonville, FL - "Our trip to Italy with Craftours was wonderful. It was our first tour and I feel fairly certain we will join another tour in the future."
Ann Rogers, Plainfield, NH - "I loved it! We saw so much and it made me want to go back. I don't think I can put it into a few short sentences. Alice was a wonderful guide."
Phyllis Elrich, Staten Island, NY - "So many things to see and do! The trip was filled with crafts and touring. Alice, the tour guide, was spectacular! Her adorable personality made us all get in a great mood for everything. The trip was everything it promised and more."
Julie Hatley, Monroe, NH - "Craftours provided for a great tour of Tuscany with a focus on the local crafts, but with sufficient time for exploring, learning, shopping and enjoying the sites and beauty of Tuscany."
Lanette Hill, Lake Havasu City, AZ - "Loved that the trip and excursions were planned ahead of time and that Craftours took care of everything (booking flight/hotel etc.)"
Beverly Fleming, Burke, VA - "Great tour. Excellent tour director. Pace was quite challenging for older stitchers. People interested in a stitching tour will of course be older than usual and we need a slower pace."
Barry K Durie, Bethlehem, PA - "A well planned and led tour with a good balance of guided group time and free to roam time. Information was always clear and shared in a timely fashion. Appreciated the efficiency of our overall escort and the particular knowledge of the various guides who joined us."
Michelle Baggett, Columbia, MO - "I can’t say enough good things about Craftours. Our guide Mary Ellen Francis went above and beyond our expectations. We missed flights getting to our destination due to weather issues and she was always watching out for us making sure we were getting where we needed to go to make it to our destination. My mother fell and broke her knee our last day of our trip and Mary Ellen was right there to get an ambulance and help us make arrangements for me to stay at a hotel near the hospital where my mom was getting treatment. She also made sure I had contacts of translators and headquarters to help me get home when it was possible. She was a huge help to us. Mary Ellen is fantastic!"
Deborah Parrish, Tucson, AZ - "Loved the tour! Saw so much every day. Our Craftours Escort Mary Ellen was excellent. Kept us on our toes!"
Dennis & Dawn Auker, Salem, OR - "This was our second tour of Tuscany. The first time was with Jim West 8 yrs ago. We enjoyed both tours very much."
Anne Hirner, Kent, WA - "I had my very best ever vacation. Italy is so inspirational. Our tour guide Agnes was so organized, helpful and a wonderful woman. All of the tours and local guides she had arranged for us was awesome. Would love to take another tour with you someday. Agnes was also very knowledgeable about handling some not so well behaved clients. She was great."
Elaine Shepherd, Little Mountain Caloundra, Australia - "I first traveled 3 years ago with Craftours to Ireland via McCalls Magazine. That trip was awesome so I knew I would not be disappointed traveling with Craftours to Tuscany. I was right. The trip was absolutely awesome and I will have no problems traveling with Craftours again. Tuscany was everything I was expecting and even more. Beautiful, breathtaking, and awesome is the only way I know to describe what I saw, experienced and ate."
Jan Wasson, Paris, KY - "I first traveled 3 years ago with Craftours to Ireland via McCalls Magazine. That trip was awesome so I knew I would not be disappointed traveling with Craftours to Tuscany. Beautiful, breathtaking, and awesome is the only way I know to describe what I saw, experienced and ate."
Mickey Basiliere, Longmont, CO - "A trip to Tuscany has been on my bucket list for years. My trip far exceeded what I was hoping to see and do. Jim was amazing and engaged us in very thought out tours. It was a great balance of free time and tour time. A Craftour is definitely the way to go! Your personal time is not used on trying to decide where to go and what to see. Words cannot describe how I was emotionally moved by the kindness and laid back approach to life that I experienced with the people of Italy. This was a trip of a lifetime!"
Lisa Schicker, Johnson Creek, WI - "This was my second trip with Craftours and, once again, I really enjoyed it. What I appreciate most is the very relaxed pace and while we travel to the locations on the itinerary together, once we arrive, we have the freedom to explore and see the things that matter to us most as opposed to being forced to stay as a group. I also like the fact that there are not too many activities scheduled in a day."
Vikki Bendle, Lakes Creek, Queensland - "Really enjoyed this tour... great company... made many new friends... great itinerary... great guide and great teacher. It was truly memorable. I loved the Grande Hotel in Montecatini Terme and the lovely staff who looked after us."
Marjorie Motto, East Hampton, CT - "This was a great trip. We saw so much in a short period of time. The tour guide was the very best. She really made our group feel like family. Susan Britt, Mississauga, ON - "Absolutely wonderful trip ... well organized and knowledgeable tour guides. Amy and Kathy did a good job keeping us all together and mixed well with the group. The places we saw were beautiful. Would have liked a little more time at a few spots but I now have places I will return to. Bonnie shared her quilting skills with us and we had a fun workshop. Her blog is amazing and certainly captured this trip. I had so much fun and met some wonderful ladies. Many thanks to you all."
Jill Lombard, Carlsbad, CA - "It was an amazing, magical week in Tuscany. I loved staying in one hotel the entire time and doing local day trips. Craftours has put together a fabulous itinerary that immerses you in the beauty that is Tuscany!"
Frieda Zuerner, Houston, TX - "Another fabulous trip with Bonnie. Tuscany was so beautiful and Craftours always manages the perfect split between group activities and having time on your own to explore."
Theresa Arnold, Indianapolis, IN - "I have mostly traveled independently so was pleased with the balance of tour guided experiences with the freedom to choose once we arrived at a location. Craftours did the hard part which allowed me to enjoy (without trepidation) the actual experience. Hotel was amazing! Bonnie Hunter was the "gravy" on this experience. Just a wonderful balance with an excellent tour guide!"

Carla McGuire, Boynton Beach, Florida - "Fantastic trip! Well organized but yet plenty of free time."
Wayne & Jenny Harwood, California, USA - """My wife and I have traveled Craftours to Tuscany with a quilting group from Los Angeles a few years ago.
